Synopsis

Al fons del mar is a story about the search for happiness, staged in flats in and around Barcelona. With more than 50 performances and over 1,000 spectators, Al fons del mar proves there is an audience that wants riskier theatre experiences than conventional stage theatre.

Two night creatures from outlying or abandoned neighbourhoods meet at a party. They know perfectly well that, to avoid getting hurt, they have to be tough and never let anyone mess with them. But the tenderness that empathy awakens makes the wish to look after each other come before every preconceived rule. For a moment it seems they might manage to be happy and forget all the shit they have had to swallow all their lives.
