Amor — El Eje

Synopsis

Amor is a lesbian love story. A play in which two young women with lots of plans meet one night at a poetry reading Andrea gives in Barcelona. They fuck. They fuck a lot and they fuck really well. They fall in love. Deeply, and well; they get hooked, they sweat each other, they get to know each other and they bond. They spend many days in a row together until they decide to live together, build a life together and grow old together. Blanca is offered a job in Madrid, so she comes and goes from Barcelona, and the relationship suffers. They are so together and yet so apart. Sex is non-existent. They start to have new tastes; what one loves the other can’t understand. But something makes them think “it’s just a normal crisis”. Andrea can’t write, because when she is happy the verses won’t come. But she wouldn’t trade what she has with Blanca for anything; it feels so unique and so impossible. A few months on, stability and routine make them notice other things and other people. Are there normal crises? In the end, everything comes to a head at an out-of-the-way London Underground station.
